ANNE TOURAINE USA Custom scarves and Ties, considers it an honor to work with artists. When they solicit our services, it is our duty to turn their personal creations into beautiful scarves or ties.
One would think that our task is made easier when our in-house designers do not have to create a custom scarf or a custom tie design… but that’s not exactly how it works! Our job is also to give advice and to anticipate the final result. Before the artists’ custom neck wear comes to life, we will suggest the most appropriate fabric(s) which will enhance their creation. We will also propose modifications to the original artwork - such as for example color saturation, a border or a contrasting hem - to make sure the final rendering meets the artists’ expectations.
When Gigi Baker contacted us to create silk scarves, we were impressed by her powerful and vibrant paintings. We all knew right away that these would make amazing scarves.
Let us tell you a little more about Gig: Gigi grew up in Lebanon in a family of artists. The apple never falls far from the tree: no saying could apply better to Gigi who, along with her brother, is a creative artist and a keen-eyed fashionista. At one point both she and her brother decided to combine their talents to bring out an exclusive line of inimitable products (bombers, bags, bracelets and of course scarves). After extensive talks with our stylist team, Gigi opted for fine and sophisticated fabrics - such as silk twill, silk chiffon and silk-cotton - different sizes - from classic European to extra-large square scarves - and a contrasting hem on all of her neck wear. Though this may sound like a minor modification, this would give a finishing touch to the final products.
The result is a magnificent, unique and amazingly colorful line of scarves!
